Judge Analisa Torres’s decision in the Ripple case establishes what I call the Torres Doctrine, rejecting @SECGov Chair Gary Genler’s indiscriminate assault on crypto. Digital assets aren’t securities in themselves but can be part of investment contracts, which are securities.
